Urban Sketching Weekend Skills Series, Tsudanuma

次第に春めいてきた今日この頃、皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか？

さて、USk Japanでは4月の頭に香港の有名スケッチャーを招いて2DAYイベントを行います！USk Japanとしては過去最大の規模！少しずつ詳細が固まってきましたので、タイムテーブル・価格表・開催地情報などを公開します。まだ暫定的な情報もありますが、そちらはSNSを通じて随時更新。もう少しアクティビティも追加予定です。チケット販売も近日開始します。興味のある方はぜひスケジュール確保していただければ幸いです。
We're happy to announce our biggest weekend event where we're collaborating with instructors from Hong Kong! Sorry for taking time to release the details, but here we're sharing the timetable, price list, and location information. As for some parts left tentative, we'll keep you updated through our social media. We'll also add some more activities. Ticket sales will start soon. Secure your schedule if you're interested.

・開催地：京成津田沼駅周辺（千葉県習志野市）
・日にち：2023年4月1日(土)・2日(日)
・プログラム：

  1. 香港・日本のスケッチャーを講師として、様々なスキルを学ぶワークショップとデモ
  2. 津田沼や周辺地域を散策するスケッチウォーク
  3. スケッチャー仲間との交流を深めるドリンク&ドロー
・インストラクター：
  1. ベン・ルック（@sketcher_ben、USk Hong Kong）：食べものを素早く、美味しく描くスキルをレクチャー
  2. ロブ・スケッチャーマン（@robsketcherman、USk Hong Kong）： iPadスケッチの第一人者。今回は人の描き方講座を予定（画材は何でも可）
  3. 松川久美（＠kumimatsukawaart、USk Japan創設者）：正確な構図の捉え方と効果的な水彩の着色法を学ぶ

・Activities: 

  1. Workshops and Demos where you can learn different skills from instructors from Hong Kong and Japan
  2. Sketchwalk where you can explore Tsudanuma and neighboring areas
  3. Drink and Draw where you can socialize with other sketchers

  1. Ben Luk (@sketcher_ben, USk Hong Kong) will teach how to capture food quickly.
  2. Rob Sketcherman (@robsketcherman, USk Hong Kong) will teach how to draw people.
  3. Kumi Matsukawa (@kumimatsukawaart, Founder of USk Japan) will teach how to compose your subjects with correct proportion and apply watercolor effectively.

開催地について／About Place

津田沼とは？
京成上野駅から京成線に乗って40分ほどで京成津田沼駅に到着します。津田沼は千葉県習志野市にある小さな街。一見すると、平凡で退屈な郊外の風景に思えるかもしれません。しかし少し散策してみると、歴史を紡いできた地元コミュニティの様々な魅力を発見できるはずです。城跡地の公園、古民家、閉業した銭湯を利用したホールなどのほか、近年オープンしたユニークなカフェやお店も見どころです。

- Longhorn（@longhorn.tdnm）：音楽イベントなども行うカフェ／バー
- 菊田神社／菊田水鳥公園：池のある公園に隣接する小さな神社。公園の池には水鳥が生息
- 鷺沼城址公園：鷺沼城の跡地に造られた公園。春は桜が咲き誇る花見の名所

イベント中のアクティビティはすべて京成津田沼駅周辺で行いますが、さらに探索したい方は近隣エリアまで足を伸ばすのもお勧めです。

- PHILOCOFFEA プラッツ習志野店：人気コーヒー店のプラッツ習志野支店

- ショッピングセンター（イオンモール、イトーヨーカドー、モリシア）
- ユザワヤ：手芸品や画材のお店。書店の丸善隣接。

3：谷津
- 谷津干潟：ラムサール条約に登録された干潟。自然観察センターがあり、飛来してくる野鳥についての学習や観察ができる。



6：船橋

- 廣瀨直船堂：創業300年を超える老舗和菓子店


Where is Tsudanuma?
Take the Keisei Line from Keisei Ueno, and you'll get to Keisei Tsudanuma after a 40 minute ride. Tsudanuma is a small town in Narashino City, Chiba, Japan. It might look like a typical, kind-of-boring suburban area. But, once you take a look, you'll discover charms of a long-establisied local community, from a heritage site park to a traditional Japanese house to a former public bathhouse. You can also find cafes and shops that opened in recent years and brought some fresh new air to the neighborhood.

- Longhorn (@longhorn.tdnm): Cafe/bar. Sometimes turns into a DJ event hall.
- Kikuta Shrine/Kikuta Mizudori Park: Small shrine adjacent to a park with a pond where birds inhabit
- Saginuma Castle Site Park: Park built on a small castle site, which is one of the recommended places in the city for sakura viewing
- Mihashiyu Hall: Event space converted from a former public bathhouse https://mihashiyu.jimdofree.com/
- Maruta Meeting Room: Morning briefing place

Other shops/cafes
- unite (@unite_chiba): Variety shop where you can find different kinds of cute items - Pennen Nenemu Cafe & Bar (Facebook): Cafe/diner that offers healthy organic food

Neighboring areas
All the activities happen around Keisei Tsudanuma Station, but you can go a little further and explore neighboring areas if you want.

- Okubo Shopping Street: Street lined with small local shops
- Platz Narashino/Central Park: Community center adjacent to a park
- PHILOCOFFEA Platz Narashino Branch: Branch shop of a popular cafe

- Shopping centers (Aeon Mall, Ito Yokado, Morisia)
- Yuzawaya: Art and craft supply shop adjacent to a book store, Maruzen

3: Yatsu
- Yatsu Yuro Shopping Street: Street lined with small local shops
- Yatzu-higata tidal flat: Designated a Ramsar Site. You can observe migratory birds and learn about them at the nature observation center.

- LaLaport TOKYO-BAY: Big shopping mall where you can shop, eat, and even watch a movie


- Shopping centers (Shapo, Tobu Department Store, Ito Yokado)
- Nakadori Shopping Street: Street lined with small local shops
- Hirose Chokusen-do: Traditional Japanese confectionery shop with a history of 300+ years
- Hanasho Shokudo: Old Japanese style diner
