No.22, Fujieda. Sketch the 53 station in Tokaido. 東海道五十三次を描いてみたい。第二十二、藤枝宿。

This is the 22nd station, Fujieda-jyuku. My wife and I stayed at the hotel near JR Shimada station. The last day of the holiday, I headed to Fujieda city in the morning. There were few historical building or something. Hiroshige Utagawa painted Jinba-Tsugitate which means distribution point.  However, this place is a parking lot and a police station now.

第二十二、藤枝宿です。三連休の三日目、前日はJR島田駅の近くで宿を取り、朝早くに藤枝に向かいました。旧東海道沿いの藤枝には当時のものはあまり残されておらず、広重が描いた人馬継立という荷物を運んでくれる人足や馬がいるところは、駐車場と交番になっていました。

I found a sweet shop between big houses when I walked the main street. It was jam and baked sweet shop named Tori-Dori. Birds are used for the logo. There were various bottles of jam and I bought a seasonal product, a yuzu jam. It was very delicious. 

大通りを歩いていると、大きな家の間に少し小さく佇んでいるお菓子屋さんを見つけました。ジャムと焼き菓子のお店で「tori dori」という鳥がモチーフのお店でした。いろんなジャムがありましたが、季節の商品ということで、柚子のジャムをいただきました。大変美味しかったです。
